Thien Nga Tran is what happens when a mother and daughter decide to turn their love for art into something real (and slightly chaotic—in the best way). Between us, one brings the years of artistic talent and experience, while the other brings fresh ideas, big enthusiasm, and a knack for making sure the world actually gets to see it all. We like to think it’s a pretty good balance.
Like many people, we found ourselves navigating a year that felt uncertain and, at times, overwhelming. Somewhere in the middle of it all, painting became our anchor. It gave us space to slow down, to focus on something positive, and to spend meaningful time together—sometimes in silence, sometimes laughing, sometimes arguing, always creating.
Every piece we share carries a little bit of that journey—our way of holding onto hope, staying connected, and finding beauty even in challenging moments.

About Us
Thien Nga Tran
a.k.a The TalentMy name is Thien Nga Tran (née Nga Nguyen). I was born and raised in Saigon, in the south of Vietnam, and now I live in Auckland, New Zealand, where I’ve created my own art studio.
Painting has been part of my life for over twenty years. What started as a simple love for creating has grown into something much deeper. I work with oil, acrylic, and watercolour on silk, and most of what I’ve learned has come from years of practice, curiosity, and a desire to keep improving. Along the way, I’ve had the joy of creating pieces I’m truly proud of, and a few have even been recognised in exhibitions and competitions.
For me, art isn’t just something I do—it’s a journey I’m still on. There have been highs and challenges, but each one has shaped how I paint today. As I’ve grown, my passion has become quieter but stronger, and I find myself wanting to express things in a way that feels more personal and true. More than anything, I’m simply trying to share how I see and feel the world through my work.

My name is Thai-Anh Cooper—also known as the daughter of “The Talent” (a title I fully agree with). While Mum brings the magic to the canvas, I’m the one behind the scenes making sure everything else runs smoothly at Thien Nga Tran. From shaping the brand to sharing our work with the world, I focus on turning creativity into something people can truly connect with—art that finds its way into homes and becomes part of everyday life.
My background is rooted in both the corporate world and entrepreneurship, where I’ve had the opportunity to build and grow multiple successful brands and organisations. Those experiences have shaped how I approach this venture—combining strategy, storytelling, and a genuine love for connecting with people.
At the heart of it, I’m passionate about helping things grow—whether that’s businesses, ideas, or the people behind them. Being part of this journey with Mum brings all of that together in a way that feels incredibly meaningful, and I’m excited to continue sharing it with others.
